Kansas maintained its hold on the top ranking and Kansas State moved to No. 9 in both major polls Monday.
The Jayhawks, who play at No. 14 Texas tonight, are spending a second straight week at the top after being ranked first for most of the first two months of the season.
The No. 9 ranking for the Wildcats matches their high spot this season and is the program’s highest since 1973.
The top Associated Press top 10: Kansas, Syracuse, Kentucky, Villanova, West Virginia, Purdue, Georgetown, Duke, K-State and Michigan State.
Baylor is No. 24.
